I’ve been on 52 in VA and NC,  so that’s moot. So either 87 or 62.

I'm hard pressed to think of a time I've ever been on U.S. 17 (though I have been to the Hampton Roads area so it's possible), so I'll go with that.

Much harder to pinpoint than interstates but luckily it didn't take too long for me to figure out my answer. US 2 (western). Even if I included the eastern section, which I won't, it doesn't matter as I've never driven or even crossed that either.

US 30. I didn’t even get to see it properly as it doesn’t get a direct exit traveling on I-75 in Ohio.

US-95 for me --- which, if Wikipedia is correct, is the 25th longest US Highway in America.

If you flip the number, you have US-59, which is longer than US-95.  I've been on US-59, but just barely.  It has a half-mile concurrency with US-60 near Afton, Oklahoma (I was through traffic on US-60).

For me, it's US-64, not counting concurrencies with Interstates, which I don't keep track of.

ETA: Having looked into the matter further, I can now say I've never been on any part of US-82.

The top 5 are (1) US 20, (2) US 6, (3) US 30, (4) US 50, and (5) US 60.

Thanks for posting the top 5, because I was really scratching my head trying to figure out which one be be my "longest never".

It appears that US-50 would be my answer.

For me, I'm guessing US 12.  It seems to take an urban bypass around Chicago on surface streets (95th, Mannheim) and while I have been to Chicago, I don't think I've been on any of those streets.

I haven't been on US 70 at all either.*

I've been to Cleveland's public square, which takes care of US 20 and 6.  (And I probably hit those at other places as well.)

US 30, I've certainly been on the parts in Pennsylvania.

I've lived pretty close to the two endpoints of US 50 and I've certainly hit those highways many times.  Never been east of Annapolis yet though.

I made a point to specifically visit US 60's eastern endpoint while in Virginia Beach for a vacation a few years ago.  I don't recall being on any other parts of current US 60.*

* I have been on the San Bernardino Fwy many times, but i was born after 1964 so it wasn't US 60-70-99 anymore.  I don't think that should give me any credit for 60 or 70 [other than Virginia Beach.]

For me it's probably going to be one of the midwest US north-south routes because I haven't been around that part of the country much. Most of the east-west routes I've driven some portions of, and most of the western US N-S routes I've driven major segments or all of, along with US 1 and 101 on either coast.

Until earlier this year, US 395. Now, US 129. There's a whole mess of them in the Southeast that I either haven't touched or barely touched.

There are 35 US routes I have traveled less than 10 miles on.

Longest US Route you haven’t been on
« Reply #68 on: July 29, 2021, 02:26:29 PM »

Completing the trilogy of threads here…

For me, it’s US 60. Crossed it many times in Louisville, Lexington and Charleston WV, but never been on it before. Second longest is US 87.

My Top 5
US33 - 703 mi
US129 - 582
US68 - 560
US58 - 509
US165 - 412

US33 is the 80th longest U.S. Highway (according to Wikipedia).  Kind of surprising I've been on the longest 79 as I've never really gone out of my way for U.S. Highways.  For whatever reason, I've always been more interested in Interstates and state highways.  Obviously a decent amount I've gotten because of concurrencies.  I've also never been on a U.S. Highway in New York or Vermont, but have in every other state where they exist.

If we exclude interstate concurrencies, my answer would be US11 at 1,645 miles.

US 64 is the longest one I have not been on other than an interstate concurrency.

US 26 is the longest one I haven't been on any part of.

US 278, but there are several longer ones that I've only been on a tiny concurrency - perhaps most egregiously US 90 on it's <1 mi I-95 concurrency.
