(I could have sworn I had something with routes 4 and 6, or 3 and 12, but I can't find it.)

If you do find the 3 and 12, you can still use it for 36.

It would be more interesting if any numbers could be used, not just route numbers. This would allow things such as "1/4 mile" and "2 1/2 tons", the former of which would allow us to use something other than 1 for prime numbers.
Clinched

Traveled, plus 13, 44, and 50, and several state routes

New:
I-189 clinched
US 7, VT 2A, 11, 15,  17, 73, 103, 116, 125, NH 123 traveled

As long as at least one of the numbers used in the equation is a route number, that's fine with me.

Otherwise, we're going to be stuck with a lot of single-digit routes for a while.

Why?

Because at least one of the two numbers has to be in the single digits until we get to 100.

10x10 is the lowest possible two-digit x two-digit combination.

25 = 5 x 5, picture from WAMC

Which I will point out is a sign I drive under on my way home every day in Amsterdam.

This is not a play for the game, but here's what used to be in that location before that section of arterial was designated as 2-way a couple of years ago.  Taken July 28, 2009.

(Images in the new Flickr format don't show up for me, but it seems to work for everyone else. Let me know if you can't see it.)
I can't see the image embedded, but if I find and use the direct link I saw it
*edit* I can see the embedded photo now

The 1 3/4 isn't a playable number, since it is a distance, not a shielded route number, unless of course the OP disagrees
I guess the rule is any number is playable, as long as at least 1 number is a shielded route number

I'll give US 1 a rest on this post...though there's examples in Trenton.

Interesting. That is an allowed play. I do plan to do a division challenge sometime in the future (someone else can make that thread too).

I have an insane number of 2's meeting 15's (PEI, NB, VT, ME, MT, OH) but it took me a while to find a 2 and a 16.

WV 2 × WV 16 = 32

Wisconsin have Clearview installations too? If the route number wasn't there, I would've guessed that sign is in Michigan.
