WisDOT has always seemed to be lukewarm on SPUIs as they've passed on several good candidate locations in the last decade going instead with tight diamonds. This is particularly the case in the Southeast district around Milwaukee where no SPUIs exist (not counting the super old 3/4 left-exit SPUI at I-94 and Mitchell Blvd by the stadium). All the freeway fix 'em ups in that area since 2005 and el zillcho.
To this date, there are only 3 true SPUIs in the state; two in Madison and one in Eau Claire. At present, I don't think there are any on the drawing board.
The Diverging Diamond, however, is gaining in use. After building 3 of them on I-39/90 in Janesville, they are popping up in more places. There's one in Appleton, some proposed ones in Madison, and even a future one going in over in that recalcitrant Southeastern District.
Someone already chimed in about Utah. There always seems to be a SPUI under construction somewhere in that state over the last 20 years. They keep adding them to the Bangarter as that corridor slowly freewayizes, for example. But I'd expect as much since UDOT has its shit together better than any public roads agency in America, in my humble opinion.
