I couldn't find a similar thread, but I thought this was a good discussion to have: Which cities have the nicest looking/most unique street name signs?

Oxnard, California has some very unique and cool looking signs:
https://www.google.com/maps/@34.2300606,-119.1746524,3a,29.9y,166.55h,95.29t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sIzN4rP1oFRpVmLR-IJ2tXQ!2e0!7i16384!8i8192?coh=205409&entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI0MDkyMy4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D
https://www.google.com/maps/@34.1951785,-119.1947656,3a,41.2y,115.65h,93.37t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1s9HX2W2BUDj-g94RxO1wAQA!2e0!7i16384!8i8192?coh=205409&entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI0MDkyMy4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D

Los Angeles is well known for its simple but iconic blue/white street signs. Santa Barbara is also well known for its brown/white old-timey font signs. Where else are the street signs cool and unique?

Makati (in the Philippines) is a city that uses seemingly a different street blade design per neighborhood.  That being said, the design used for the downtown/CBD area (Legazpi Village, Salcedo Village, Ayala Center) is REALLY nice:

Downtown Astoria switched to brown blades with the city seal ~10 years ago:

Before, they were regular green ones that sometimes had "HISTORIC DISTRICT" over a much bigger skyline above.

St. Helens, OR also deserves a mention for exclusively using embossed street blades. At first they fooled me into thinking they were all vintage (as much of their infrastructure is) but I scrolled through GSV and found a few that had been replaced.

I kinda like these. They look like they're very easy to read.

Not too long ago, Green Lake County Wisconsin had changed the "embossed" street blades to the standard ones but with the detailing the old ones had. Here is an example at Princeton Rd and Old Green Lake Rd east of Princeton:
https://www.google.com/maps/@43.8435962,-89.0472727,3a,15.8y,291.65h,89.68t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1s7LQBVNNpjCM6lvktQCPilg!2e0!6shttps:%2F%2Fstreetviewpixels-pa.googleapis.com%2Fv1%2Fthumbnail%3Fcb_client%3Dmaps_sv.tactile%26w%3D900%26h%3D600%26pitch%3D0.3194972383892889%26panoid%3D7LQBVNNpjCM6lvktQCPilg%26yaw%3D291.64582402218167!7i16384!8i8192!5m1!1e1?coh=205410&entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI0MDkyOS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D

But you can still find the embossed ones too. This intersection is a 5 way intersection with 2 sets. One in green on the left, one in white on the right. This is at Hwy A, Princeton Rd, Northwest Rd and Robin Ln near Green Lake. https://www.google.com/maps/@43.8515693,-88.9768859,3a,78.7y,93.83h,81.76t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1s1FslhH6rPmoSXjX_sXh1xA!2e0!6shttps:%2F%2Fstreetviewpixels-pa.googleapis.com%2Fv1%2Fthumbnail%3Fcb_client%3Dmaps_sv.tactile%26w%3D900%26h%3D600%26pitch%3D8.241615900936196%26panoid%3D1FslhH6rPmoSXjX_sXh1xA%26yaw%3D93.83457579356306!7i16384!8i8192!5m1!1e1?coh=205410&entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI0MDkyOS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D

I kind of like the ones in Richmond's Fan District - simple but they get the job done, and they reuse the original sign blade frames.

Of course, Richmond Public Works is run by a bunch of idiots who don't know how to do their jobs and some of the signs have been replaced with regular green sign blades recently whenever they've been damaged.

I honestly wish that was the city's streetblade look all over, though I do understand wanting to emphasize the CBD (which for the most part is noticeably cleaner than almost every other district, save for maybe the Rockwell area).

Here are some of the other Makati street blade looks, quite a bit of variety for a city with a small geogrpahic footprint:

Malolos Street and Pasong Tamo Stret (Chino Roces Avenue), green on white, in the barangay (district) of Olympia. Unusual color scheme and also interesting to see a modern street sign use the pre-1989 street name:
https://www.google.com/maps/@14.5714118,121.0154265,3a,36y,117.78h,81.31t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1sfKYSsSCSbP_PJIO8hwQKOg!2e0!6shttps:%2F%2Fstreetviewpixels-pa.googleapis.com%2Fv1%2Fthumbnail%3Fcb_client%3Dmaps_sv.tactile%26w%3D900%26h%3D600%26pitch%3D8.687991923774007%26panoid%3DfKYSsSCSbP_PJIO8hwQKOg%26yaw%3D117.78291339620014!7i16384!8i8192?coh=205410&entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI0MDkyNS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D

Ayala Avenue and Malugay Street, at the very edge of Legazpi/Salcedo area.  These signs look to be from the 1970s
https://www.google.com/maps/@14.562191,121.0157054,3a,23y,316.95h,86.1t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1sgQ2NRVSaarAepKiC1UF64A!2e0!6shttps:%2F%2Fstreetviewpixels-pa.googleapis.com%2Fv1%2Fthumbnail%3Fcb_client%3Dmaps_sv.tactile%26w%3D900%26h%3D600%26pitch%3D3.899404568155248%26panoid%3DgQ2NRVSaarAepKiC1UF64A%26yaw%3D316.95455033546614!7i16384!8i8192?coh=205410&entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI0MDkyNS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D

Hand-painted one also likely from the 1970s, South Avenue at San Francisco Street in barangay Olympia

Possibly early 80s white-on-blue, Makati Avenue at A. Arnaiz Avenue (Pasay Road) in Ayala Center

Gil Puyat Avenue (Buendia Avenue) at Fillmore Street, barangay Bangkal.  A different white-on-blue design

Magallanes Avenue at SLEX/Osmena Highway in the Magallanes district.  White-on-green blades (note the usage of "South Expressway" instead of either SLEX or Osmena)

There's also a common green-on-white overhead sign style (with proprietary font) that I see in areas outside of the CBD, here are some examples:

Chino Roces Avenue (Pasong Tamo Street) at Ocampo Sreet (Vito Cruz Street), barangay San Antonio.  Note the usage of the older name Vito Cruz while using the modern name for the cross street Chino Roces

Slightly off-topic, but I think it's interesting how the Philippines seem to mix international traffic signal conventions. There's some that look like American and British / European signal installations.

Bloomfield signs their streets in red. Their old signs are still signed the typical green, but it's different than the usual green, blue, gray that exists.
