Now that OR 22 bubble shield makes me cringe. And it's not the only one I've seen. There's an odd shaped OR 224 on Lake Rd in Milwaukie -- I'll snap a picture of it tomorrow.

It was temporary; not there anymore.  I'll be interested in seeing that 224 when you get it.

Interestingly, the cringe-worthy bubble OR shields seem to all be construction detour signs.

Yes, as are those nearly triangular OR 47 detour signs I posted.
