Franco dead, Juan Carlos crowned king of Spain, promises to restore democracy.

Now for something more on topic:
Why 55 when other countries allow 62?
Supporter of the construction of several running gags, including I-366 with a speed limit of 85 mph (137 km/h) and the Hypotenuse.

Please note that I may mention "invalid" FM channels, i.e. ending in an even number or down to 87.5. These are valid in Europe.

What will truckers do if diesel ever gets to $1 a gallon?
How many Super Bowls in a row can the Steelers win?
When will Caltrans complete I-5 from Sacramento to Stockton?
Will we ever see 70 MPH speed limits return?
Why can't we have it as good as we did in 1965?

US 101 is THE backbone of the Pacific coast from Bandon OR to Willits CA.  Industry, tourism and local traffic would be gone or severely crippled without it being in functioning condition in BOTH states.

Why do these new CT blue on white license plates fade so quickly?  If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Will I-291, I-491, or I-691 ever be completed?

What do you think of the new  "Mile X/ Exit X" signs on I-295 in RI?

Will I-484 replace Morgan St as the preferred connection from I-84 East to I-91 North?

What is the ETA for the completion of I-84 to Providence?  I mean, we have these 2 little orphaned sections in Manchester and Windham.

WisDOT just opened a new four lane County 'Q' bridge across Little Lake Butte des Morts in the Appleton/Menasha/Neenah area. In a local newspaper article, they said that when they rejected a two-lane option in that it would have been obsolete, traffic wise, on the day that it opened.  It is connected to US 41 with a partial cloverleaf interchange with collector-distributor lanes in both directions on US 41 and includes a reworked direct connection to Lake St (County 'PP') in Neenah. The interchange also includes a direct connection to a new frontage/access road on the west side of US 41 to allow access to roads and properties that are losing direct access to the highway, which is being realigned and upgraded to a full freeway between Appleton and Neenah as part of this project.  I do note that the Holiday Inn at US 41/Shady Ln just closed due to that direct US 41 intersection access being cut off.

This bridge makes access to and from Menasha much easier and takes a lot of traffic off of some serpentine local surface streets, especially through downtown Neenah.  There is a proposal for a beltline freeway around Appleton that might someday continue off of this, we'll have to see if this one doesn't fall victim to this anti-freeway frenzy that is miring some other major projects in the state.

Unleaded pumps take too long to fill the tank!

(Jumping to 2017 to explain for those too young to remember leaded gas: In order to ensure people didn't mistakenly put leaded gas into vehicles equipped with catalytic converters, which would result in costly repair bills, the government mandated a smaller fuel-filler pipe size, and thus a smaller pump nozzle, for unleaded gas. Leaded gas pumps would not fit into the opening in cars requiring unleaded gas. As a result, it took longer to fill the tank. If you're looking at my age and wondering how I remember this, it's because I remember my parents complaining about it in 1979 when they replaced their leaded-fuel Volvo sedan with an unleaded-fuel Volvo wagon.)

"That sounded stupid, didn't it?"
—Kolzig, to the same reporter a few seconds later.

How long are the lines at your local gas station? Is there any type of rationing going on?

Government would be tolerable if not for politicians and bureaucrats.

This is only 11 years out from the 1964 thread. Are we going to do 1986, 1997, and 2008 next?

The answer is no.
