Shameless self-promotion here, but my wife will be on Jeopardy! this Thursday, January 19th.  Hillary Kotler of Columbia, MD.

I'm wearing a pinstripe cap in the studio audience (for all of this week's shows).

Got a good look at the L.A. Freeways while out there for the show.

Cool. Here's hoping she did well!

Did you get to say hi to forum member Ken while you were there?

For us, it's still in the future, so good luck!

It would be fun to see a follow-up after the show airs, and see what your experiences and impressions were. (I imagine contestants are under NDA until at least that point)

Yeah, everything is kept hush-hush.  Though you would not believe how often people press for details!

Very few posts, but I imagine he was all over the web looking for tidbits of info.  No doubt some of the things he saw here went into his memory bank.

Hope she did well and both of you had fun. Will gladly be watching on Thursday.

Looking at his post history, it looks like he was around after his original run on Jeopardy, and he was doing research for a book.

Looking at what's available under his name at Amazon....I wonder if this is the book in question:

Yeah, it was my impression he got what he needed from the board and had no further use for it.

What is your side of her wedding proposal story?

A good showing against two strong players!

Anybody else think the guy who won looked strikingly like Clark Kent as portrayed by Christopher Reeve?

"That sounded stupid, didn't it?"

This is really cool for me to see. I have been obsessed with jeopardy and have wanted to be on the show since I was 12. Just this week I had a zoom audition and am in the contestant pool now for the next 12 months. This is the third time I've been in the pool...I hope this year is the year it happens.
Congratulations to your wife for a very good game. And for making it to the show. I hope to someday be able to see myself on the show :-)
I love freeways and roads in any state but Texas will always be first in my heart
