I didn't really care for his incarnation of Family Feud, but he was able to get the show back off the ground after it being off the air for four years.
I don’t care for the Steve Harvey version at all (or Steve Harvey, for that matter), so I guess it’s debatable whether bringing it back was a good thing.
I would say that Steve Harvey is actually the closest to Richard Dawson as we've got on the current revival. Steve Harvey will actually display some personality and react to the answers the contestants give, be they good or bad. It's much better than, say, Richard Karn, who simply smiled and nodded along and said "Good answer" even when the answer made no degree of logical sense.
I know some people don't really care for the somewhat raunchier turn that
Family Feud has made under Harvey, but, well...even that goes back to the show's roots as a
Match Game spinoff.
