Dan Garnell asked to postpone Toledo till next year.
So instead of next year, I'll host a Cleveland roadmeet this summer.
It will be heavy on bridges, with only a couple of road projects going on this year.
Date: Some time in July or August. (I'll nail it down after I return from Cleveland (for my day job) next week)
I'll probably try to incorporate as much as this proposed path (I don't think it came to fruition) as possible;

same here, if it's second half of July I am out, heading out to Albuquerque for the annual matchbox convention held around that time
I'd be interested in a Cleveland meet as long as there's not a COVID flare-up. Not sure if I'd do the lunch/dinner part, though, as I've continued to avoid restaurants.

Depends on where I can hold lunch at. If I go with Edgewater Park/Whiskey Island (near downtown), I'll be very cognizant for parking for everyone. I think I found a site out east, at Euclid Beach, that would cancel any concerns I have about co-existing with downtown baseball traffic.
Given I hosted the last Cleveland meet 8 years ago, I am not opposed to driving down. We'll see.
Dan Murphy just announced his Wilmington, DE meet for July 17th, and the Extra Miler Club's annual meeting in Covington, KY (Cincinnati Metro) is August 7th, so if you could ideally pick another day that would be great. That said, given the choice between Cleveland and Cincy I will choose Cleveland due to distance.

EMC is in northern Kentucky? It might be worth the drive up for a day.
It's possible I can make it, but only if poo, and poo isn't very likely for a while.

I would personally enjoy an indoor gathering spot for lunch (not sure I'll join for dinner but maybe), but I would defer to you as the host on whatever you want to do for that (and considering what everyone else is or isn't comfortable with).
In the middle of August, indoors would be better.

By mid August we should be well emergent. The food looks fine there.
Count me as interested.
My time off from work has been approved for the Friday before this meet, which means I'll drive to Cleveland that day. My hotel room is booked for Friday night and Saturday night. I'm looking forward to this!
I'll have to pass on this meet. If possible, I'll be at Toledo instead.
I'd be interested, as long as things are good coronavirus-wise.
This thread is missing a certain salesmanship:

Interested, but iffy.
Will consider. I can probably work an I-94 clinch into the extracurriculars, which has been nagging a bit lately as I'm only missing through metro Detroit from Ypsilanti to 26 Mile Road.

I have a vacation to Philadelphia, with pre-existing plans to take a big loop through eastern Ohio, with this Saturday in the middle. If I reverse my driving plan, there's a chance I can make this work for me, although I might be there closer to noon.
My potential attendance will depend on good weather and me booking it across the Keystone State (via State College and possible Steubenville). I cannot give firmer notice beyond that right now.
Is there any chance the new (2016) I-90 bridge is on the plan? If it is and I skipped over it, my apologies.

Sort of. Tentative plans have our route going under the new bridge.
I'm out. I had grand plans in place to do this and net significant Ohio Interstate mileage (I have 71, 75, 77 and the C-Bus, Dayton, outer Cleveland and Youngstown's 680 left). I have obligations that interfere with the possible drive but will be getting part of it earlier in the month.
I am also out. Wife has to work once again and I'm not brave enough to take two toddlers solo with me on such a trip.
I had forgotten about this location (saw photos of it back in February).
This will be on the tour...

And I am out, got a toy show that weekend in Cartersville, GA, I usually don't get to many road meets during years where Steph and I road trip cross country, 2021 exception.

Thanks to covid, I still don't know what I'm going to do for this meet.
I'm still undecided between BYOF at Wildwood or Euclid Beach Park (they neighbor one another), or seek a restaurant patio lunch out on the far east side or downtown (in 'The Flats').
That said, I'm going to need a definite count if I go to any restaurant. Between here and the FB event page I have 35 confirmed or "interested." I want to get this number more solidified for the event.
I am planning to be there.

I think I will stay tuned! I hope to be watching the Cleveland Road Meet Broadcasted LIVE on YouTube on August 28th by roadwaywiz. If so, then I would be a very happy person that y'all get to be in my homestate of Ohio for the meet in one of my favorite cities, even though I can't be there in person because I can't drive. But I will be watching should Dan feel the need to broadcast the Cleveland Road Meet LIVE on YouTube. It's his decision, his YT Channel, his choice.
For those choosing to venture to Cleveland this coming weekend, I have typed up the itinerary.
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1k4JAJjYNjN7uaIi1hf7eBP6AFDtsBvE_G9_awF1MbeA/edit?usp=sharing
We will be meeting at Rivergate Park, between Merwin's Wharf & Sainato's, starting at 11 AM.
There is parking at Rivergate Park, but I don't know how soon it will fill up. There is a paid lot across the street from Sainato's and folks can try their luck with on-street parking along Columbus Rd, or other nearby streets.
Sainato's opens at 11 if you want to order lunch from there. The West Side Market is an 1/2 mile south of Rivergate, if you want to pick something up from there. There are other places, but most don't open till noon.
I will start with a walking tour (Because most empty spaces are being used for paid parking, and I don't want to wait 30 minutes for everyone to find that perfect (FREE) parking space, 2-3 times). I'm budgeting 90 minutes for the walk. Afterwards, I figure 4 hours for the tour (with its various pauses).
Thank you to all who attended today's meet. We think this meet might have the record for the hottest (temperature) meet.

Adam Moss kept telling me 99 degrees during the tour. But his car thermometer might be off. When I got home, I saw that the official high for Cleveland was 89 for Saturday. So, I'll have to back off that record heat comment. Wilmington, last month, might have been hotter.
