The list is smaller for the genres of music that I don't listen to. I dislike country and heavy metal the most, as well as a majority of the newer pop music (although there are some songs that I can't resist singing along to when I've had a few drinks :)).

As for my favorite genres, I really like EDM/house music and lately, I've been on a trap/rap binge. Rock and jam bands are other genres that I also love, and I can always get down to some reggae. My list of favorite bands/artists is always changing, but as of right now, my favorites are listed below. If you click on their names, I've included a link to my favorite song by those artists.

Kendrick Lamar (rap)
Schoolboy Q (rap)
Mac DeMarco (rock/indie, although it's debatable what genre he truly is)
Allman Brothers Band (rock/jam band)
Phish (rock/jam band)
Miike Snow (indie)
Pretty Lights (EDM)
Griz (EDM)
ODESZA (EDM)
Twiddle (rock/jam band)
Grateful Dead (rock/jam band)
Tyler, The Creator (rap)
A$AP Rocky (rap)
Ratatat (electronic/rock)
Sublime (rock/reggae)

I pretty much like a fair amount of any form of music except for most rap and country (there's like two rap songs that I actually like, excluding any by Weird Al, and only one county song that I like), and any genre I haven't heard yet.
It's all fun & games until someone summons Cthulhu and brings about the end of the world.

I also collect traffic lights, road signs, fans, and railroad crossing equipment.

Since I see so many songs and artists I like already mentioned, I'll just go with them and pretty much all that get posted about later on!  Music is something I love but am totally horrible at playing or singing...LOL!

I'm a die-hard fan of 1980s new wave and post-punk. New Order, The Cure, Depeche Mode, the Psychedelic Furs, Tears For Fears, The Police and a bunch of other bands like that.

I also like some alternative rock acts such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers and R.E.M., a few classic rock acts like The Who, Led Zeppelin and Genesis (Phil Collins and Peter Gabriel solo stuff also), and, oh yeah, Prince, who was basically his own genre, the Minneapolis Sound.
From the land of red, white, yellow and black.

I have a purported copy of "Beatles Forever." It sounds like ELO. I don't know whether it's legit.

This reminds me of when my friend was talking about how much he loves E-low, and I had no idea what he was talking about, until my brother told me that he was talking about E-L-O :-D (does anyone else say "e-low", because I've never heard it said that way before?)

Anyway, if I had to choose my top 10 bands as of today, I would choose the following (in alphabetical order):
Arcade Fire
Death Cab for Cutie
The Eagles
Fleetwood Mac
Genesis
Rush
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
The Tragically Hip
U2
Yes

My absolute favourite album would have to be Seconds Out by Genesis. I remember bringing that CD in the car to school for every one of my exams in the 2B term. I was listening to Firth of Fifth and The Cinema Show last night before sleeping and was reminded of just how damn good that album is! :)
