Thanks all. Years ago US 6 reached down to Long Beach I think, which is about 10 miles from where I live, but the route was trimmed back to Bishop in the 1964 renumbering.
I'll have to work on my "clinched" listings over the next few months. Just curious - for Interstate loops like I-210 - I take it you need to drive on/ride on each loop before you count it as clinched. I've been on I-210 in the Los Angeles area and the Lake Charles, Louisiana area; I don't know if there are other I-210 segments out there.

I-210 in California and I-210 in Louisiana are two different roads, and you can treat them as if they had different numbers. It's possible (and common) to clinch one without clinching the other.
There are no other current roads numbered I-210.
Clinch also means that you have been on
all of it, not just any part of it.

Personally I'd say if you drove I-210 between I-5 and CA 57 than you have clinched the route. CA 210 IMO is a different highway (despite what legislature's take on route definitions) until declared an Interstate. Similarly I-238 and CA 238 in my view would be two different highways.
Max, I agree. I-110 and CA 110 are two different roads, so I would count each as separate (similar to I-210 / CA 210). Now, as for 1's point about different states; I suppose I could say I clinched I-210 (CA) and I-210 (LA) to note I clinched both segments.
In 2018 while in Oregon I clinched I-405 in the Portland area. Who knew that infamous number existed elsewhere besides So Cal?
Now, how about other discontinuous routes, like CA 1? I've been on all segments between San Francisco and the Capistrano Beach area (including the Seacliff section), but not the northern segments above San Francisco. I guess that makes it 'driven on' but nowhere near a clinch.

CA 1 is actually fairly well signed in regards to it's field multiplexes with US 101. Regarding segments that have been relinquished or haven't been formally adopted like Rice Avenue around Oxnard I would say the presumed existing highway would suffice. Granted, trying to get every last mile of CA 1 or roads like it is a challenge unto itself consider how large the mileage is. I'm still about 100 miles short overall on CA 1 myself.

I've got work to do in the realm of my clinched roads - both in updating the list I made half a decade ago, and also in the sense that I probably haven't clinched an impressive amount of them in the first place. :-P
