Construction has begun on a number of new highways in Oaxaca, Mexico. These include highways from Oaxaca to Tehuantepec, Oaxaca to Puerto Escondido, and Oaxaca to Tuxtepec, as well as a new coastal highway from Puerto Escondido to Huatulco and a route across the Isthmus of Tehuantepec from Acayucan to La Ventosa.
