I saw a map once that showed US 73 entering Missouri concurrent with US 24-40 and ending somewhere in downtown Kansas City.  Was this the case or was it a mapo?  Where did US 73 end when it followed 24-40 into at least downtown KCK?

I saw the wiki article but you know how accurate those can be.  I saw a map that had a US 73 shield on the Intercity Viaduct after it crossed into Missouri.  Could it have ended at US 71 in downtown KC?  I wish I could find that map.  It was on the internet somewhere.

On the US Ends website, it shows that from 1935 to 1985 or thereabouts, US 73 did go into downtown Kansas City, KS on State Ave to 7th St., which is US 69. Here is where the info is located at:

I'm talking about KCMO.

The Kansas Highway Commission maps of Wyandotte county are unclear, but I doubt that 73 ever entered Missouri. I'd put my money on the south end of US 69.

Also, sometime between 1976 and 1982 [I'd place my bet on 1981], US 73 was pulled back to the US 24/K-7 interchange in Bonner Springs. It wasn't until 1988 that I-435 was established as the south end of US 73. Of course, it was moved back to the K-7/I-70 interchange in 2009.
Peace to you, and... don't drive like my brother.

This would be logical because US 69 south of KCK used to be US 73, or US 73E at least.  I doubt US 73 ever went to KCMO.
