Hot Rod Hootenanny

No, I'm not hosting. Nor am I even attending.
But while bumping around the American Association of Geographers' (aka: AAG) website this afternoon, I came across a webpage for the '3rd International Workshop on Roadology' being hosted by the Institute for Advanced Studies in Social Sciences at the Southern University of Science & Technology (in Shenzen China)
https://ias.sustc.edu.cn/3rd-roadology-workshop/?lang=zh (unless you can read Mandarin Chinese, you will need to translate the page)

Unfortunately, the deadline to submit a paper to be presented at this event has passed (July 1)
Please, don't sue Alex & Andy over what I wrote above

Ah, the open skies, wind at my back, warm sun on my... wait, where the hell am I?!
As a matter of fact, I do own the road.

Pretty sure that's the cromulent word Alps was referring to.

We're not supposed to embiggen that word on this forum.

Did anyone ever figure out the difference between viatology and transportology?

Government would be tolerable if not for politicians and bureaucrats.

Transportology comes after environmentology.

Transportology comes after environmentology.

I thought transportology is the scientific discussion of how to remove an ingested Hot Wheels vehicle?
