I'm surprised I'm not the only one on here with I-29 MO/IA.  Is it because y'all have used them in KC and either Council Bluffs or Sioux City but not in the rural areas between them?

For me, I've driven the stretch from KC up to St Joseph but then kept going north on US-71 that trip.  I've also driven up into Council Bluffs (and on to Sioux City) but had entered I-29 from NE-2 on that trip.  So the stretch from I-229 to NE-2 is a gap for me.

Mine was an error in my thought process...I have driven I-29 over the MO/IA border in 1997.

Yeah, in my case my initial foray on I-29 in MO was the I-35 duplex, then my initial Iowa mileage on I-29 came on the former 29/680 duplex. I now have two separate pieces of 29 in MO (from St. Joe to the 435 split, and the 35 duplex), and in IA from 680 to Sioux City, but still haven't crossed the border.

Dirt Roads

You just had to switch over to allow US routes.  I'll eliminate the unimportant ones (less than 50 miles or 50% of the states' mileage), with a few notable exceptions:

US 1: NY to CT
US 15: SC to NC
US 17: FL to GA, GA to SC
US 19: FL to GA, GA to TN
US 21: SC to NC
US 25: TN to KY
US 29: FL to GA, GA to SC, SC to NC
US 41: FL to GA
US 52: NC to SC
US 70: TN to NC
US 222: MD to PA (I wonder if I am the only person on AARoads to get both states and not clinch the Maryland side?)
US 601: SC to NC

94:  WA/IL

Maybe he's used I-94 in both North Dakota and Minnesota, but he's never crossed the Washington or Illinois state line on I-94.

Oh, wait, I-94 doesn't go to Washington at all.  Darn.

It was a typo; no idea how!  I meant to say WI/IL!

You just wanted to make them WAIL.

A lot of interstates I have that meet the criteria were ones I was on during my 2002 Ohio/Michigan trip. The Stan Musial bridge didn't exist the last time I was in St. Louis, so that one is only the current route. I believe I have crossed the border on every 3di I have been on that crosses a border.

I-70: MO/IL, IN/OH
I-80: IN/OH
I-90: IN/OH
I-94: IN/MI, MN/ND

If you used the PA Turnpike being on that in any part from New Stanton to Breezewood as well as used I-70 in any part of Ohio but never went east of Wheeling, you could not have been across both WV entry points to the state.

In fact I have been on I-70 in every state except Maryland, but haven’t yet crossed the IL- IN Line as well as IN- OH Line. So therefore I have been in three states consecutively along its route and missed out on the borders of the two between them.

I-10: CA-AZ-NM
I-20: GA-SC
I-25: NM-CO
I-30: TX-AR
I-35: TX-OK, MO-IA, IA-MN
I-40: AR-OK
I-44: OK-MO
I-49: LA-AR, MO-AR (status?)
I-64: KY-IN
I-69: wake me when it's ready
I-70: OH-WV, KS-CO
I-80: IA-NE, WY-UT
I-81: PA-NY
I-84: NY-CT

I think I've been all the 3dis at the point which they crossed their respective state lines.

NWI_Irish96

I'm guessing nobody has driven on US 131 in multiple states without crossing a state line.
Indiana: counties 100%, highways 100%
Illinois: counties 100%, highways 61%
Michigan: counties 100%, highways 56%
Wisconsin: counties 86%, highways 23%

Here is my complete list:
I-75 in Atlanta area and between FL 44 and the Turnpike
I-91 in MA and CT
I-95 in NJ and PA, like most
US 1 in MA and NH (barely – I've been on the rotary immediately north of the MA/NH line but went southwest instead of crossing on US 1)
US 4 in NH and VT
US 5 in MA and VT
US 20 in MA (overlap with I-291 only) and NY
US 202 in MA and NH
MA/NH 111
Clinched, minus I-93 (I'm missing a few miles and my file is incorrect)

Traveled, plus US 13, 44, and 50, and several state routes

I will be in Burlington VT for the eclipse.

roadman65

I-44 I have been on in OK-MO, but not cross their border. I have come close exiting the freeway at US 166/400 which is the last WB I-44 exit in MO just before the state line.

I-64 in both WV-KY.
I-85 in both AL-GA.
I-80 in I have been on in IA, IL, IN, and OH each, but never crossed the borders individually between them.
I-49 in both AR and MO, but now the Belle Vista Bypass is completed it counts.
Every day is a winding road, you just got to get used to it.

Not sure what you're getting at here, but earlier in the thread it said that in cases like these, where OH and PA border each other, but I-70 does not cross that particular border, what matters is if he's been on I-70 in WV.  Sounds like he's only been on it in OH and PA, however.

If I'm understanding this correctly, he cannot count any of those:

I-70 OH/PA – That highway does not cross that state line.
I-70 OH/WV – He hasn't been on I-70  in West Virginia.
I-70 WV/PA – He hasn't been on I-70 in West Virginia

Clarification: I mentioned "neighboring states on route"  in the op, so don't count borders where two states border each other, but the route doesn't cross that border and goes through another state or two in between.

... PA<>OH is not a valid answer for I-70; you would need to have traveled on I-70 in WV without crossing the state line; in which case the WV<>OH and WV<>PA borders would be what you would count.

Did you walk into the tunnel from the NY side but turn around before hitting NJ?

Oh, wait. Never mind.

Goreville to I-57 is a pretty drive.

(It even has hills.)

The fastest route from Goreville, IL to I-57 doesn't appear to even involve I-24 in either direction. What am I missing here?

ozarkman417

I-40 TN/AR- I used the Memphis-Arkansas Bridge both times I cross the Mississippi at Memphis, AR/OK
I-49 AR/MO- Bella Vista Bypass did not exist last time I was down there
I-55 AR/MO
I-70 OH/WV- I-470 taken through Wheeling instead
I-70 MO/IL- I crossed the state line on this highway before it was routed on to the Stan Musial Bridge. I have not been over that bridge yet.
US 61 AR/MO
US 60 MO/OK, KY/WV
US 62 AR/MO
US 412 AR/OK
