Are we supposed to be estimating what states our airliner was flying over?

As per the original post: "(landing or taking off only)"...so if the wheels are on the ground, it counts. "Wheels Up" do not.

Mob-Rule.com does not count flyovers, and I'm guessing most other county counters/Extra Milers do not, so that's the distinction.

I don't count the air space over the states/provinces I fly over. The closest state I've never been to is West Virginia. The closest I've been to it would be however far PIT airport is in Findlay, PA (Allegheny County).
