Quite possibly the Vermontiest thing that has ever occurred.

Real question, though: is an advance right arrow what should be there?

Oddly, my contribution is also from Vermont!  The US2 sign has considerably more cracks in it, so I'd consider it to be of less quality than the VT-15 shield.

The sign assembly is immediately adjacent to the intersection, so I would staunchly say no.  Here is the GSV so you can judge for yourselves.

Some of these might turn out to be big cities, which might make this challenge easier.
EDIT: the chain must have at least ten separate locations to qualify.

Greenville, MI, is the birthplace of the big-box retail chain called Meijer.  If you live anywhere near Michigan, you're familiar with it.  This sign photo was taken in Greenville, Michigan a couple weeks ago.

Ah, so no. But looking at the surroundings, I'd say the owner of that corner store/gas station there put it up so that right-turning drivers would not use his driveway as a shortcut onto VT-15. Only thing that makes sense.

Lowell, MA: Market Basket (there seem to be two chains with this name, and the other one is nowhere near the
Northeast). Current headquarters are one town over in Tewksbury.

I'm assuming you posted this on 3-2-1 because diverging diamonds create the situation of "3, 2, 1, crash!"

Just kidding.  I'm starting to warm up to DDI's.  Here's the first one constructed in the state of Illinois.  It's not the best shot because I'm on an upgrade, but it'll have to do.

Utah seems to like DDIs. There are currently a total of 8 in the state, and another one will open by this fall. Here’s one at I-15 and SR-68 (500 South) in Bountiful, which is about 10 miles north of Salt Lake City.

Not a great picture, but here's the DDI at the south end of Cedar City, Utah.  October 3, 2015, which I think was pretty soon after this opened.

I have several pictures with falling snow, but I figured I'd use the one with a ski areas sign.
