Description: This may be the farthest-away-from-Peoria sign to mention Peoria. This is on NB I-65 south of Indianapolis, roughly 217 miles away from downtown Peoria. It has always surprised me that Indiana uses Peoria as the control city on WB I-74, rather than in-state Crawfordsville, or even Danville IL (twice the size of Crawfordsville). There is one exception, though. The brand-new interchange of I-74 with Ronald Reagan Parkway (Exit 68) does use Crawfordsville on the BGS's directing traffic onto WB I-74.
