Really? The opposite has always seemed to occur for me; staying on the same numbers but changing jurisdictions rapidly.

Thats the only 51 shield at the intersection that uses the smaller font for the 51. Also Walnut/IL 13 E is the only approach that does not have an overhead BGS guiding traffic for IL 13 and US 51

It probably doesn't qualify as a true error, but it doesn't match the plethora of other US 51 shields at the intersection. It is certainly different and sticks out

Might have been during the City of Carbondale's Illinois Ave/US 51 N upgrading of the lighting and sidewalks the last few years. The stoplight mast at this interchange moved to the left/north side of Walnut/IL 13 E during that project - used to be on the right/south side of Walnut

That matches GSV history.  There was a normal US-51 shield in the GSV shot from November 2016, then no shield at all in the GSV shot from July 2018 during sidewalk reconstruction, then your recent photo shows a new wrong-font shield and the stoplight mast having been moved.

I enjoy the faster pace.  It's more like a real card game this way.

I said that because before the 51s today was basically posting 3-4 signs of a number then moving on. I should have known that I spoke too soon

Here is a Rule proposal: Once a number has been In Play, at least 24 hours from the end of its chain until it can be replayed

I know thats not an actual UNO Rule, but an idea for this game

FL 528, and other 528s, were played this afternoon. This play is legal by (current) rule, as it is not the same sign from earlier today
