How is TxDot still using the northbound bridge when there are two supports that spans the north and southbound lanes? Using a temporary support under the middle of the column?

I have driven over this interchange many times, for TxDot to simplify it, did car counts go down? Or was it over designed in the first place?

The Ghostbuster:
Has the Waco Traffic Circle always been in that location, even before Interstate 35 was built and US 81 still went through town?

It's been there since 1935.
