US 63  closed at Ravenden for emergency repairs.

ArDOT closed the road to traffic around noon Tuesday, May 25, to repair the bridge over the Spring River at Ravenden after inspectors found "structural damage"  to the bridge.

Keeping up with the HDS I-40 bridge on ARDOTs website, I did see a that on their page there and thought "Here we go again", but never really saw much of anything else online about it, and never saw it on iDriveArkansas.com as any sort of closure either.  Looks like it's fully open again, so at least it wasn't as hard a fix.

There is one other bridge closed, but little or no info on it.

If you were to drive from Springfield to Memphis like I did not to long ago, you would actually be crossing both bridges. Man, I'm living on the edge.
_________

My opinion on a possible permanent solution is: Replace it (and the Martins Creek Bridge) with newer structures like what was done to the US 63 bridges north of Hardy. This would mean that the stretch of US 63 in the Arkansas Ozarks would consist of (nearly?) entirely of new and improved bridges.

Is the other closure This I-30 closure by chance?

From one of the news articles I read, ArDOT reported that a pin-and-hanger assembly had failed on the US-63 bridge over the Spring River. Good thing they caught it before another Mianus River Bridge disaster occurred.
