More work for Hale Boggs Bridge in Louisiana

Opened in 1983, the bridge - which carries I-310 across the Mississippi River west of New Orleans - is having all of its cables replaced.

The interchange on the south side of the I-310 bridge is not for those who hate heights!  I have never seen such a difference in height between the start and finish of an interchange as this one has.

US 101 is THE backbone of the Pacific coast from Bandon OR to Willits CA.  Industry, tourism and local traffic would be gone or severely crippled without it being in functioning condition in BOTH states.
