Apparently, this mountainous route has approximately 1800 curves in it...

Back to Thailand for Highway 1096, thanks to Blogspot user wasan-sapphasuk.

Thanks Texas Bikers.  Couldn't find another 1097 anywhere (there is a Route 1097 in Thailand, though).

I have a KY 1100 photo but can't remember where I posted it or when I took it.

I found it on your website.  KY-1100, from HBElkins on milleniumhwy.net

I have a more recent one of KY 1100 -- as in the past couple of years -- but I couldn't find it.

KY 1101 is on the other end of the same county (Floyd) in the Minnie area. I was up there last year but don't think I got a picture of the signage.

It took four months for the first 1000, and a little more than four months for the next 100.  ;-)

Life comes at you fast. Opportunities to take pictures of signs, not so much.

I had a different shot of KY-1100, from your set of photos, saved to my flickr favorites.  Next I have ready is a 1103.
Good work everyone on reaching 1100!  Remember when I said I expected this thread to die in the 6-700s?  Glad I was wrong!

We weren't quite right about how shallow the pool would be this high up in the game.  On this page and the previous one, we've had Texas, Kentucky, Virginia, the UK, France, and Thailand.  This keeps it more interesting.
Keep right except to pass.  Yes.  You.
Visit scenic Orleans County, NY!

Louisiana is still in play through the mid-1200's.

Which was why I recommended that we should've reduced the wait from 24 to 12 hours. That never panned out...

Pennsylvania is still in play, by the way. You can use the 4-digit county routes  ;-)
Pleased to meet you

Quadrant routes, as they're called. Their numbering system is based by county, but yes, they're state roads.

vdeane

Of course, those numbers aren't posted, so we'd need a rule change to allow reference markers.
