Same Number, Same Road, Different Freeway

I was looking at a map of Illinois one night (I know, I have no life), and I noticed something interesting.  Some routes cross multiple freeways/tollways and have the same or similar exit number.

I'll start with Illinois as it was the one I was looking at.  The rules are simple: The exit number (even if theoretical) must be within 5 miles, plus or minus.

I-80 and I-88 cross many of the same routes & roads, and have similar exit numbers for both.
I-80 & I-88 - Exit 4/Exit 1
IL-40 - Exit 45/Exit 41
IL-26  -Exit 56/Exit 54
IL-251 - Exit 75/Exit 76
I-39/US-51 - Exit 79/Exit 78
IL-23 - Exit 90/Crosses at MP 92
IL-47  -Exit 112/Exit 109
Ridge Rd/Farnsworth Ave (same section line) - Exit 122/Exit 119
IL-59 - Exit 126 (I-55)/Exit 123 (theoretical [T])
Larkin Ave/Naperville Rd (same road - change in name) - Exit 130/Exit 127 (T)
IL-53 - Exit 132/Exit 130 (T)
US-45 - Exit 145/Exit 142 (T - if I-88 was extended east toward the Circle)
IL-43 - Exit 148/Exit 146 (T)

I also noticed it in the St Louis Area with I-55/70, I-64, and I-270.
IL-3 - Exit 3 (North)/Exit 3 (North)/Exit 3
IL-111 - Exit 6/Exit 6/Exit 6
I-255 - Exit 10/Exit 7/Exit 7
IL-157 - Exit 11/Exit 9/Exit 9
IL-159 - Exit 15/Exit 12/Exit 12

It continues between I-64 and I-70.
IL-4 - Exit 23/Exit 21
IL-127 - Exit 50/Exit 45
US-51 - Exit 61/Exit 63

But wait, that's not all.  There's I-72 and I-74.
IL-47 - Exit 176/Exit 172
I-57 - Exit 182/Exit 179

Any other sets like this in other states?

There would be a set in Connecticut between I-95 and the Merritt Parkway if both used proper numbering, but since the Parkway starts at exit 27 and I-95 starts at exit 2, things are skewed.

Theoretical milepost numbers, I-95 and Parkway (actual numbers in parentheses):
CT 137: exit 7B (7)/exit 11 (35)
CT 106: exit 9 (9)/exit 13 (36)
US 7: exit 16A (15)/exits 17A-B (39A-B)
CT 33: exit 18 (17)/exit 21 (41)
CT 25: exit 29A (27A)/exits 32A-B (49S-N)
CT 8: exit 29A (27A)/exits 34A-B (52S-N)
CT 110: exit 34 (33)/exit 37 (53)
SSR 796: exit 38 (38)/exit 38A (54)
CT 34: exit 48A (47)/exits 43A-B (57-58)
If you always take the same road, you will never see anything new.

The freeways around Boston were numbered radiating out from the city, with exit 25 always at the Route 128 beltway. Only US 3 retains these numbers.

I-71 and I-75 have a few close matches in SW Ohio.

I-80 and I-90 also have a few matches or close matches in NE Ohio, most impressively OH 11, which is exit 228 on both.

Almost: OH 104 meets I-71 at its exit 104, and then ends very close to I-70's exit 105.
Wait, it's all Ohio? Always has been.

The exits for I-4 on I-95 and I-75 in Florida are 260 and 261, respectively.

The A14 meets both the M11 and A1(M) at junction 14 (the latter is not the mainline's junction though - instead a spur's - the mainline would meet at J13, if it had an exit number).
The A505 meets the M11 at junction 10, the A1(M) at junction 9 and the M1 at junction 11.
The A34 meets the M3 at junction 9, the M40 at junction 9 (and the M42 at J4, M6 at junction 7 (and 14), M56 at junction 1 and M60 at junction 3, but we'll ignore those)

Worth pointing out that these are all sequential exits.

I-675's south end is at I-75's exit 43, and its north end is at I-70's exit 44.

Not sure exactly what the OP is looking for in this thread, but I-75's exit for KY 627 is Exit 95. I-64 has Exit 94 for Truck KY 627 south and Exit 96 for KY 627 and Truck KY 627 North.

Or consider this...

In Kentucky, I-64's Exit 58 is for US 60. In West Virginia, Exit 58C is for US 60.

Indiana 267 intersects with Interstates 74 and 70 in Hendricks County at Exit 66 for both highways. Likewise, two miles to the east the Ronald Reagan Parkway intersects with both highways at Exit 68.

I think the exit numbers for both I-93 and I-95/MA 128 in the Woburn, MA area are both Exit 37 A/B from each other.

sp_redelectric

This would happen in Vancouver, Washington (SR 14 intersecting both I-5 and I-205) but the oddity is that I-205 retains its Oregon derived mileposts in Washington state so the exit to SR 14 is not Exit 1 as normal practice, but Exit 27.  (on I-5, SR 14 is Exit 1A.)

And it was exit 37 before they swapped the numbers on the I-95 overlap section of Route 128.

I-64 KY exit 75: I-75 north
I-71 KY exit 77: I-75 south

I-74 IN exit 73: I-465
I-70 IN exit 73: I-465 (and I-74)

edit: fixed where I wrote the wrong number

US 41 and US 45 north of their split in the town of Richfield (WI)
WIS 145 - 60
WIS 60   - 64 on 41, 63 on 45
WIS 33   - 72 on 41, 71 on 45.

This is because both highways shared the same exit mileage north of that split even though 41 is longer to the point where they merge at Appleton Ave in Milwaukee

further analysis shows the southern split resulting in same/similar exit numbers for both routes to I-94.

That is correct.  Both I-93 north/south to I-95 (128) north and I-95 (128) north/south to I-93 south are signed as Exit 37A.  Both I-93 north/south to I-95 (128) south and I-95 (128) north/south to I-93 north are signed as Exit 37B.

If Massachusetts used milepost exit numbering, the I-93 exits on I-95 (128) would be 55A-B, and the I-95 (128) exits on I-93 would be 28A-B.

US-34 is exit 46 on I-74 in Illinois. Further west, in Mt. Pleasant, IA, it's exits 42 and 45 on US-218.
Davenport, IA -> Valparaiso, IN -> Ames, IA -> Orlando, FL -> Gainesville, FL -> Evansville, IN

Neat topic.  Two Virginia examples:

US 58
Exit 11 from I-95
Exit 12 from I-85
* Exit 13 from I-664 (not a milepost-based exit, but still a similar exit number)
Exit 14 from I-77
Exit 19 from I-81 (58 East)

If you consider the I-77 exit to be the "focal" number, then all 3 of the other Interstates are within 5 miles of the number 14.

US 301
Exit 41 from I-295
Exit 41 from I-95

Also, a little off-topic, but Virginia's two "major" universities (UVA and Virginia Tech) are both largely accessed from Exit 118 B (US 460 West from I-81, US 29 North from I-64).

The truly interesting ones are the ones that are far removed from the highway termini.  After all, if both highways end at the same city or state line, then it's to be expected that intersecting routes would carry similar exit numbers along both highways.
