Lowest-Numbered Exit You Haven't Taken

I've taken a few minutes here and there trying to see what I've got.  It's not something I've paid any attention to, so there's some guesswork.  I'm pretty confident I've been on an exit for each number up to 64.

I exited off of DE 1 Exits 86 and 88 earlier today to get myself up through 90.  I will keep thinking as I move forward today.

I'm at 182 and honestly can't wait to be done, but that little know-it-all in my head isn't going to rest until there's a specific answer.

At least the lowest route number chase can be somewhat automated by leveraging the Travel Mapping database.  This lowest exit number ... is tedious.  I've only looked at (most of) my home state so far and I'm already going batty.  My OCD compels me to research my travels anyway.

FWIW, I am pretty sure that I do not have an Exit 0.  So if we count from zero, my answer is easy.

If we instead count from 1, I have a fair amount within the first 100.  So far, my lowest number never taken would be 38.  My research continues ...

HurrMark

I doubt I have personally taken an Exit 0 because they are rare in the Northeast. I'm fairly sure, though, when I was a kid, we took exit 0X on the FL Turnpike at Golden Glades before they changed it to plain exit 0...does that count? (As an aside, when I saw the sign as a kid, I thought it read Exit OX as the animal).

Also, how does exit number changes work? Say, on the Mass Pike, you took exit 10 years ago...would you get credit for exit 90 when it was changed several years ago if you haven't taken it yet? I assume the reverse wouldn't count (like you took Exit 90, you wouldn't get credit for 10....then you're essentially giving credit for exit numbers from decades ago in some cases).

How can you get credit for an exit number that didn't exist when you took it?  You didn't take exit X, you took exit Y...

Looks like I'm stumped at Exit 198. If I stopped at some exit 198 and didn't take note of it, oh well.

Pfft.  Sissy.

Still begrudgingly researching mine.  I'm going to throw a fun exit in there that'll test this stance... :D

hotdogPi said he was on an old exit 44, though, so...whatever.  He said 44, I put 44.  Waiting for WillWeaver's update, too.

I'm going to put 13 for now. There are a couple of solid options for Exit 13s I might have taken, (State Avenue off I-435 in Kansas City, KS and Decatur Boulevard off CC-215), but I can't say with confidence whether I have or have not taken them.

I'm pretty sure the lowest I haven't been on is 23. I can't find one anywhere close to me that I remembered taking. I'll have to keep looking later.
I take pictures of road signs, that's about it.

General rule of thumb: Just stay in the "Traffic Control" section of the forum and you'll be fine.

Exit 18 is (currently) the lowest number exit that I haven't taken...

EDIT: Forgot that I got off at Exit 18 when I was in Hawaii... So, my lowest number exit now is 32!

Some people are counting from zero.  Some people are counting from one.

This list is apples and oranges right now.

Yes, I was just going to ask, does Exit 0 count?

Being from NY with its sequential exit numbers, I was going to cruise through the low numbers. But if I have to start with Exit 0, I won't even get off the ground.

My personal opinion is that, since quite a few states (half or more?) go out of their way to not use Exit 0, and use either Exit 1 or no number instead, requiring an Exit 0 just to enter the game is likely prohibitive for quite a few users who could otherwise participate. I'll have to research whether I've actually used an Exit 0 in Ohio, but I sure don't want my participation in the thread hinging on that trivia.

If we're counting Exit 0 then that's my lowest. However I'm also from a state where exits have been renumbered.

I'm fine not counting Exit 0. We don't count 0 for the Lowest Route Number thread, although I'm one of very few that has been on a 0.

Heckuva lot more Exit 0s out there in the U.S. than Route 0s.

I mean, there's only one 880 out there.  Should we discount it?

Yeah, realized I misread so I deleted the post and came up with an equitable example.
