I mean, there's only one 880 out there.  Should we discount it?

I mean, there's only one Highway 1484 (Kentucky). Should we discount it in your thread?  ;-)

Well, no.  That's my point.  If we're going to discount Exit 0s because of their scarcity, there are a whole lot more exits out there that are even more scarce than them.

And dang, somebody's in the doghouse with the missus to have this kind of time. :D

On my list (which I haven't posted here yet) I'm only counting the current exit number of an exit I have taken (I lived in Georgia at the time it converted from sequential to mile-based, so a lot of those exits I know both the old and current number for)
Center lane merges are the most unsafe thing ever, especially for unfamiliar drivers.

Control cities should be actual cities/places that travelers are trying to reach.

If you call that whining, I'm sorry  :-|

There are decent number of states including NY where the number of Exit 0's = the number of Route 0's. Even despite that, I may have one or two Exit 0's already, just have to do my research.

Scott5114

The argument against counting 0s is that otherwise 95% of the table would be people putting "0", which would be boring and discourage participation.

Please put the "no exit 0" designation on my table row.

Yessir.

It will be interesting to see if we hit that 95% of "No 0s."

Doesn't even look like we're anywhere close to having even a decent sample of entries from the forum...yet!

But, I'm still squeezing in my tedious research when I can, so I'm still not ready to join the ranks.  Perhaps others are in the same boat.

I haven't kept track of this before, so there's a chance I missed something. I'm counting suffixed numbers and exits I entered at, and I haven't done enough Northeast driving to have issues with renumbered exits.

Looks like the lowest number I haven't taken is 66. (I've driven by Exit 66 on I-39 many times, but I've never actually taken it since it doesn't have any services.)

Dough4872

The lowest exit number I haven't taken is exit 24.

Very sus. :D

Turns out my I-69 was wrong too (I must have misread iexitapp.com), but I realized I've taken Exit 87 on I-70 in Colorado when I was clinching the very-annoying-to-clinch US6 in Colorado. Still on the lookout for a 314 that I've been on. I very well might have taken the exit in Grand Island, Nebraska, but I can't remember for sure, so I won't count it.

Ha. Was just taking a look at where the Runza was located in Grand Island, because I know I stopped there last time I was through that stretch of Nebraska, and turns out it's on Locust Street, which is the road that Exit 314 leads to. Doesn't move the needle much though, alas. I also haven't been on an Exit 315. The only one that maaaaaaybe I've been on would be on I-75 in GA in Calhoun, but no way to check that. So I'll likely sit at 315 for quite a while.

Rothman

If JayhawkCO's memory is to be believed...given how far the Runzas are from the Interstate...wonder what else he has stretched in such a fashion... :D

I will drive quite a distance for a Runza. They're delicious.

Another question: does "taking the exit" mean just using the interchange (either exiting or entering) or does it have to be actually exiting the interstate? I've already come up with a few where I've for sure entered the interstate at that exit, but not exited.

It's funny how "patchy" this exercise is. My lowest unexited is 315 and between 315 and 327, I only have four of those completed. Yet, from 328 to 368, I'm only missing five numbers.

formulanone

Just realized that I've used Exit 198 on I-94 several times for Middlebelt Road leading to the Detroit airport.

(What Would Other Flickr Users Do?)

So my quest continues...

It's only biased against non-Floridian East Coasters that don't come out to the better part of the country, or perhaps head up to Ontario or Quebec. :)

On that note, from 328-368, most of the ones I've used are Floridian, since I lived in Jacksonville for a hot minute.
