Hey guys, I was wondering if you guys have any questions regarding Toll Roads in Arkansas that I could ask one of the ARDOT board members.
Just tell him go ahead and use them and get Ft. Smith to Texarkana done already.
Then ask if Arkansas could possible do that across North Arkansas to connect NWA with NEA without having to do a half circle.

Strong opposition from the trucking industry will surely slow or even stop this from going through! :hmmm:
But, I would like to see them HOT lane the Little Rock Freeway System after I-30 Crossing gets complete. If there is a freeway that needs traffic reduction, it's I-630. I wonder, they have begun steps to widen 630, what if they use the extra lane for a HOT lane configuration in the near future? The widening is both East and West, so... :hmmm:

Why would they be opposed, the tolled lane would forbid trucks anyway.

Well, it seems everywhere I read about Arkansas' future with tolls is always accompanied by the fact that the trucking industry would lobby against it.

And they should. They are some of the worse offenders of governed trucks passing governed trucks. Last teip to Memphis one JB Hunt truck passed another JB Hunt truck, it took near 5 miles to complete.
