No red line under misspelled words?
It has that, but no way to correct it.

Every time I see on the local news how Massachusetts has the best or near-best performing schools in the country, it makes me wonder what the hell is wrong with all the other states...

And if all else fails, you can do like we did in the olden days and look it up.  It's even easier now.  Type the word into Google or dictionary.com and it will probably tell you the correct spelling.

Just keep in mind that people who read what you write do.  Not caring about spelling or bothering to learn how to fit into Internet communities leads to ostracization.

Not to mention it can lead to issues later in life. If you want to get a job for example, how you spell, write, and use grammar can be potential turn-offs and turn-ons for employers looking to hire people.
It's all fun & games until someone summons Cthulhu and brings about the end of the world.

If you continue with that type of attitude,  your performance in High School will go down in flames.
The truth is the truth even if no one believes it, and a lie is a lie even if everyone believes it.

Not caring about spelling is a good way to make others not care about reading your writing.

For instance, among my jobs is hiring college student assistants.  Most of them say they're good at detail work.  If they say they're good at detail work, having misspellings or typos on their application is a quick route to the "regrets" pile.

You know freebrick, I really have to wonder about this. By the time I am in a nursing home and today's teens are running the business world, will those employers really care about good spelling & grammar? They may say, "I didn't care about my writing, why should I judge anyone else's?

Then the world will really hit that proverbial greased chute. Alanland will by then have successfully conquered the United States. Next stop, the world.
Runnin' roads and polishin' rails.

People have been wondering that for a long time, as the baby boomers came up listing to nonsense lyrics on the radio and reading beat poets.  Yet when it came time to hire professional people, suddenly spelling and grammar became important again.
