Reports of significant damage in the Ridgecrest area, which is about 150 miles north of Los Angeles. It was felt in the LA metro, Las Vegas, San Diego, Bakersfield and Fresno but no damage in any of those places.

We got to wait and see if the aftershocks might be as big as the current quake. There's one more article on the subject.

Ridgecrest is more than 100 miles away, and the quake epicenters seem to be even more distant. But the San Andreas isn't California's only major fault.

Didn't even feel it in the western Sierras.  People in Fresno are saying they felt the shaking.
