California State Route 229 is a nine mile State Highway contained to San Luis Obispo County which connects California State Route 58 north through Creston to California State Route 41.  California State Route 229 is notable for it's first six miles north of California State Route 58 being a single lane and having one of the lowest daily traffic counts in the entire California State Highway System.  California State Route 229 north of Rocky Canyon Road is largely aligned over what was US Route 466 through Creston.
