On a given trip, what was the longest distance you traveled on one highway.  If you went out and clinched a whole highway in one trip, let's hear about it.

Mine might be I-95 from Kittery ME to Florence, SC
I-10 from Columbus, TX to Jacksonville, FL
I-10 from Junction, TX to Santa Monica, CA

All three, talk about a difference in scenery from one end to the next.

The entirety of I-65 from start to finish.  I purposely made detours off I-10 to spice up some cross country moves.

On a drive from Chicago to California, I was on I-40 W for half of Oklahoma, and all of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and the whole of the route in California. That makes for a total of 1,209 miles, or 47.2% of its 2,559, pretty much all at once.

I have something similar for the western bit of I-70, but I got off the highway here and there for twenty miles and fifty miles and so on for various activities, so it doesn't quite count.
Interstates clinched: 4, 57, 275 (IN-KY-OH), 465 (IN), 640 (TN), 985
State Interstates clinched: I-26 (TN), I-75 (GA), I-75 (KY), I-75 (TN), I-81 (WV), I-95 (NH)

The full length of I-65 is definitely one heck of a detour off of I-10.  :-D

748 miles on I-35 (including I-35W through Fort Worth)
Beginning:  Texas, Exit #24
Ending:  Kansas, Exit #42

If that doesn't count because of using 35W, then my next best is probably 661 miles on I-80, from I-76 to I-88.
Keep right except to pass.  Yes.  You.
Visit scenic Orleans County, NY!

So jealous.  I wish a road trip would require me to clinch an entire highway at one time.  Where I live makes some of that hard, but it can happen.  I plan to some day soon drive all of I-35 to Duluth, but living in Austin sill cuts out the first 230 miles for it to be all on one trip.  Maybe if I drive from Chicago back home, and take I-55 all the way to I-10, I could do it.  Or I-25 If I am heading to northern Wyoming (alas, I only have from Las Cruces to Cheyenne, and that was one trip).

I-95 from just south of Lumberton, North Carolina to Joppa, Maryland: 420 miles.
From the land of red, white, yellow and black.

Regarding I-10 I did clinch, but it was never in a single trip like I-65.  I've done enough of I-10 that it kind of puts me in a trance of boredom, especially west of El Paso.

Different stages in life.  I-65 was from Chicago to Destin, FL to visit family.  I-10 usually involved my multiple moves between Florida and the west coast.

GaryV

I-75, Detroit to Atlanta and back.  Several times.

When I was younger, my family went from Grand Rapids to Florida, but that involved more than 1 route - longest bits would have been parts of I-65, I-24 and I-75.

Obviously allowing for getting off at exits to get gas/eat/sleep:

1215 miles: I-40 from Barstow, CA to Oklahoma City, OK
1067 miles: I-70 from Indianapolis, IN to Denver, CO
1034 miles: I-80 from Cheyenne, WY to South Bend, IN
884 miles: I-90 from Rapid City, SD to Schaumburg, IL
741 miles: I-94 from Freeport, MN to the western end
620 miles: I-65 from Clarksville, IN to Mobile, AL

My longest non-interstate are:

270 miles: US 41 from Saint John, IN to Henderson, KY
268 miles: US 30 from Bourbon, IN to Canton, OH
Indiana: counties 100%, highways 100%
Illinois: counties 100%, highways 61%
Michigan: counties 100%, highways 56%
Wisconsin: counties 86%, highways 23%

I-64 westbound from where it joins I-81 in Virginia to its western end near St. Louis in 2017; Google Maps says that was 756 miles. We did exit the highway several times for tourism, overnight stops, and once to fill the gas tank, but I got back on the highway either at the same interchange or via backtracking through an earlier (leaving Louisville after visiting Churchill Downs–we had gone through the streets to get there but used I-65 to leave).

Edited to add: Any long runs we do along the I-95 corridor invariably involve leaving I-95 somewhere–for example, on our most recent trip back from Broward County, we got on I-95 at FL-869 and took it all the way to Exit 161 in Virginia (US-1 just north of Woodbridge), but I used FL-9B and I-295 around Jacksonville and I-295 around Richmond and Petersburg, so it wasn't an uninterrupted run up I-95. It would have been 996 miles if we hadn't taken those two alternates, but I prefer both of those routes to the thru I-95 routing.

I-75 from OH 126 to Florida's Turnpike, about 850 miles.

Compared to other people's scenery contrasts over 800 miles, mine went from trees to more trees.

Some longer ones I can think of...

I-40 from Barstow to I-840 west of Nashville, about 1900 miles
I-94 from Madison WI to Glendive MT, about 880 miles
I-20 from I-10 to Cuba AL, about 980 miles
I-80 from I-74 to Laramie WY, about 850 miles
I-10 from I-8 to US 377, about 810 miles
I-80 from I-880 Iowa to I-76 near Youngstown, about 810 miles
US 50 from St Louis area to Clarksburg WV, about 600 miles
I-64 from I-70 to Charlottesville VA, about 750 miles

sprjus4

I-64 from I-464 in Chesapeake, VA to I-70 in Wentzville, MO.

Did the entire interstate in a single trip, with the exception of the "eastern"  most segment between I-664 and I-464.

I'm about 1750 too.  Breezewood, PA to Glenwood Springs, CO on I-70..  Bonus points for only stopping for gas and sleeping in shifts. (Yes we skipped taking I-670 in KC too, so we stayed on I-70)

I love that dedication.  How many times I stayed on the longer more congested route for the sake of clinching!

achilles765

Interstate 81 on a trip from Louisiana to Woodstock Connecticut. Nearly 500 miles from Interstate 40 to interstate 84
I love freeways and roads in any state but Texas will always be first in my heart

TheHighwayMan3561

I-90 from Worthington, MN to Seattle last year.
I-35 from Burnsville, MN to Laredo in 2015.
self-certified as the dumbest person on this board for 5 years running

ran4sh

I-40 from Flagstaff AZ to West Memphis AR.

The next longest would probably be I-20 from I-10 (TX) to Birmingham AL.
Control cities CAN be off the route! Control cities make NO sense if signs end before the city is reached!

I-90 from Bellevue to Sioux Falls, 1460ish
I -70 from Lawrence, KS to Cove Fort 1070ish
I-70 from Baltimore to Lawrence 1100 ish

wanderer2575

US-24 end-to-end (about 1,540 miles) in one southbound/westbound trip.  I think I stretched it over five days.

7/8

My longest is I-80 from the I-90/I-94 junction in Lake Station, IN to I-76 in Big Springs, NE (1343 km or 835 mi).
