Yeah, it was beautiful there, and down in the canyon too.  That's right after we turned around because we realized our car still needed to be repaired (boiling coolant).  I didn't feel like breaking down somewhere on a Manti–La Sal National Forest road.

I explored some vintage highway photos on Flickr. Hard to believe that was once the Sea-to-Sky Highway (BC-99) in 1957.

I just went on a great weekend trip to southeast Utah. Plenty of great sights to be seen down there - including road photos - but here's my favorite. This is the Hite Crossing Bridge on SR 95, the only fixed Colorado River crossing between US 191 at Moab and US 89 at Page:
