any recent news about GA-540 (Fall line "freeway") http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fall_Line_Freeway
and the Savannah River parkway (GA-555/565/future I-3?) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Savannah_River_Parkway
It would be interesting to see some pictures of the progress of the construction of these highways
Several sections of the Savannah River Parkway (GA 555) are now open to traffic. The remaining sections under construction with a completion date of Winter 2009. thanks for the infos :)
What construction of the Fall Line Freeway? - It looks like the Macon section will never be completed. Most of the rest - the Columbus to Macon section is complete - but unsigned.
I've driven the Fall Line Freeway and the Savannah River Parkway. Nice roads, but they need a higher speed limit than 55 mph, especially on the completed sections. Most portions of the above highways are in the "middle of nowhere."
Be well,
Bryant
The Fall Line Freeway - Columbus to Macon Fort Valley on GA 96 is posted 65 mph outside of the towns.

^^ Really, the time I drove it, the highest speed limit that I saw was 65 mph. Must've changed since last I drove it.
Thanks,
Bryant
Seems nice. I would love to ride on that thing. I live in Atlanta.
