This has to be their dumbest sign error ever. They installed an EXIT sign nowhere near the exit. https://www.google.com/maps/@33.2557614,-97.1748029,3a,18.5y,278.95h,88.74t/data=!3m5!1e1!3m3!1s4KUyyB2ZUB07OFM0i_2qug!2e0!

There used to be a custom sign there. It wasn't the best choice, but was better than what we have now. //https://www.google.com/maps/@33.2557825,-97.175481,3a,20.3y,291.1h,93.88t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sZEqtIqePUPcqCNTNsiwV-Q!2e0!7i3328!8i1664

They also added ground-level ROAD ENDS signs at 500 and 100ft before the ending, as well as barricades at the end of the road.

When I worked at TxDOT, some dumb c-word called to complain that she had run off the end of the road in broad daylight, desite the overhead warning signs with flashing lights

Speaking of dumb TX gore signs, there are several of these redundant ones featured along the I-10 Katy Freeway, the "Widest Freeway in the US":

It would be somewhat better, *if* Loop 288 went on west from there, but someone definitely is more than a few years ahead of themselves there.

That is ridiculous

Another sample for the redundancy thread, if I've ever seen it....

Still amazes me how much  w i d e r  the Katy Freeway is now.

Houston continues to grow.  It may surpass Chicago and take the title of third largest city soon especially with all those fed up with Cuomo's bs moving to the Houston area not helping either.   So it can be ten lanes wide to a side and not be enough to handle that area's needs.

SH 99 is ready for more corporate and residential development which also will add to that part of the Katy Freeway.
Every day is a winding road, you just got to get used to it.
