Title: Bridges that look just too big
Post by: tolbs17 on January 13, 2022, 06:13:48 AM
I wonder why they made this bridge so big when it only has one lane.

This one is understandable because the far right lane used to be an exit lane before the Neuse River bridge was built.

These question me. Why do they use an extra platform when it's just a braided ramp rather than just building a simple bridge?

Same thing here also.

Most likely so they can widen it to two lanes if it's ever warranted in the future.

My understanding is that why do they use an extra platform that looks like an airport blablabla for a braided ramp? US-52 in Rural Hill has it too.

It's not the size of the bridge that counts, it's how you use it.

Nothing is planned here after this highway was rebuilt 20 years ago.
