WA-102 was assigned in 1984, nearly two decades after some related routes like WA-104 and WA-106. Is there a reason why that number was skipped over in the 60s? Or was there an older WA-102 that was deleted? The present route is very short and doesn't seem very significant.

110 was also skipped. Maybe they set them aside for something related to US 2 and US 10? Or they were trying to space them out and keep directional parity? Many odd 5xx numbers were skipped for probably the latter reason.

I accept and respect your identity as long as it's not dumb shit like "identifying as a vaccinated attack helicopter".

Does make some sense. The branch routes do respect directionality for the most part. WA-106 and WA-112 run west-east, while WA-113 runs north-south. Although based on how the numbering works, US-2 branches should follow a 2xx numbering scheme. But I'm sure there's probably a lot of inconsistencies there.
