Quite a few hotels on the Vegas Strip have similar ads on their windows. Didn't notice too much of a difference while looking out from one.

Big John

I've seen those on the windows of buses before.

Osceola County, Florida is using signal control cabinets at signalized intersections to place ads. Funny thing is they're backlit at night.

Never saw window walls used to advertise before.

State of society moment. Where everything in the future is an ad trying to sell you something. No thanks.

It's possible to like capitalism but not ads.

Pop ups too.

Then of course they complain about malware hidden in these pop ups that eventually steal your identity. Meanwhile the people in charge complain about the cyber theft process, but still let corporate big wigs advertise on the internet.

Nice loaded question there. The answer is, I don't. Maybe I just think capitalism should have some limits, like no monopolies/duopolies or limits on excessive and tasteless advertising.

Come on, after the 568,967th ad for Bud Light, maybe they'll finally get the holdouts on board.

Imagine how much cheaper the swill could be if they didn't spend so much on stuff like this.

But then it would cost more to rent/operate those buildings, and that additional expense would have to come from somewhere.

No, I think Scott wants to answer legitimately but can't fully explain himself in 25,000 characters.

That makes a helluva lot more sense than any explanation I could think of.

For real, Karl Marx couldn't even adequately answer "why do you hate capitalism?" in three books, and he died before he was done answering the question. So...

In Cedar Rapids or Cedar Falls or someplace that I can't find anymore, someone painted the sign for a business front of a drive-in screen that now faces a freeway.  Sacrilege!

As for signs painted over windows, I hate it when a great view is blocked by ads with little holes to look out of.  It's like being stuck inside a microwave oven.
