Need Help - Louisiana GIS Data

I'm trying to write an article about US 80 in Louisiana on Wikipedia (which is currently in my user sandbox) and I can't make any sense out of the GIS source used by most articles to measure the highway's distance or mile markers. Can somebody please help with that? I want to put down the total mileage and mile markers for major intersections for US 80.

Here are a few I know of off the top of my head:

MP 82.2: US 80 @ LA 507, Simsboro.

MP 83: US 80 @ LA 150/LA 563, Simsboro.

MP 87: US 80 @ LA 149/LA 3005, Grambling.

MP 89.4 & 89.5: US 80 @ LA 818, Ruston.

MP 91.1: US 80 @ LA 544 (formerly LA 3012), Ruston.

MP 92: US 80 @ US 167 LA 146 NORTH, Ruston.

MP 100: US 80 @ LA 145, Choudrant.

MP 104.5: US 80 @ LA 151, Calhoun.

MP 111: US 80 @ I-20, Calhoun.

MP 116 (approx): US 80 @ LA 15/LA 546, Cheniere.

This is the source most Wikipedia pages use for the mileposts and total length reference. Im having trouble figuring it out. Honestly, I wish Louisiana had a state highway log.

A couple of years ago when I was making KML files and maps for Louisiana highway articles there (most of which are now redirects and the KML files don't work anymore anyway ), IIRC the GIS file was really only good for determining if a route existed and getting a total length of a route. If I was updating the route junction list and needed the mileposts, I just got them from Google Maps. I started by getting directions from the starting terminus and then just dragging the end point to each route/interchange.

Thanks for the tidbit. This information helps a lot. I currently put the Louisiana article on hold to work on an Alabama one.
