This is generally frowned upon. Most, if not all established members would prefer that you spent some time reading and researching on your own. If all else fails, I'd suggest sending a PM to a senior member who's been here a long time and likely knows the ropes. For example, I've been a member here for 9 years (only a little less than this forum has existed). While my post count isn't all that high, I do read nearly everything and have spent a good amount of time researching and putting 2 and 2 together. I'd be happy to help you if I can. If I don't know or don't want to speak on a particular subject, I'll let you know. I'd be happy to help you, but please don't hit me with a ton of questions. Remember, try to help yourself first. Otherwise, feel free to ask; just acknowledge and understand that we all have lives away from the forum and it may take a little time for one to respond.
