Howdy From Houston!
« on: March 17, 2020, 12:03:47 PM »

Howdy guys, CoreySamson here, and I’m really happy to be part of this forum.
I’ve been a geek about cars and roads ever since I was really young, so this is kind of a dream come true. I live in Houston and am watching the 288 toll lane expansion with interest.

Fun fact about me: Last year, before I got my drivers license, I drove the 130 tollway (yes, the 85 mph section) at full speed.

Howdy from your nearest major city (sorry NOLA) to the east!

Clinched, minus I-93 (I'm missing a few miles and my file is incorrect)

Traveled, plus US 13, 44, and 50, and several state routes

I will be in Burlington VT for the eclipse.

Welcome from the Missouri Ozarks!

I am yet to visit the Lone Star State, and that tollway would be towards the top of my list when visiting the state.

Welcome from Upstate NY!

Been to San Antonio and Corpus Christi, but never Houston.
I have done a bit of Street View browsing around the area, though. I find the modern freeway construction intriguing, and I spent quite a bit of time browsing the area around NRG Stadium, where the Bills played a few months ago.

Welcome from a few states east in Georgia!

I’ve been to Texas before, but not Houston. I definitely hope to visit there in the future.

I find absolutely fascinating the ever-expanding network of outer beltway roads and rapid suburban development in Metro Houston. Houston has some really cool roads, and it is a very cool city.

I am looking forward to seeing you around on the forum.

Welcome from CT.  Got a good bud who lives down there on the north side just outside the 610.  Never been to Texas (closest was New Orleans), but hope to get there someday.

Hello there, I just joined yesterday.  I've passed through Houston (actually rented a car from/to IAH airport) but have not had a chance to spend quality time there...
