Starting the 48s with a WV 48 sign-o next to a correct US 48 marker, at the connector to WV 42 near Bismarck, taken in November 2014 (sign-o probably corrected by now)

Yep, it was fixed as of the Memorial Day weekend meet.

Government would be tolerable if not for politicians and bureaucrats.

Spamming more Illinois highways I haven't covered.

Illinois 41...it still spins me out to see the number 41 on a route shield in Illinois that isn't a US shield.

Illinois 43, not far from the former cars-in-a-spike sculpture seen in Wayne's World (they took it down v_v)

The west coast needs a little more representation, so it's time to play catch-up:

Entrance to I-5 south onramp in Portland, along a former segment of Harbor Dr., October 2014

Oregon Route 8 in Beaverton, February 2016

Fire-roasted US-30 shield at Jct. US-30 Bypass at the St. Johns Bridge in Portland, February 2016

(The US-30 sign got torched when a truck ran into an oil tanker railroad car, caught fire and exploded. The sign has since been replaced. Note that the new sign does not put periods after "St" and "Br" like the old sign had.)
Borderline addicted to roadgeeking since ~1989.

No 49s posted yet? That's surprising.

I'll start us off with this picture of the MN-49 marker from my collection (the route no longer exists–the northern portion is currently Ramsey CR-49/Rice St, and the southern portion was renumbered MN-149).

Lots to choose from for I-49, but I'll go with something that is recent.  Near the Missouri-Arkansas border on I-49/US 71 South.  July 23, 2015.

US 49 from I-10 in Mississippi.  August 27, 2003.

Since New York 49's already been represented, I'll take us to a wrong-way concurrency of California 49 and California 89 near Sierraville.  November 17, 2007.

Photos I post are my own unless otherwise noted.

Wasn't that when CA 88 wasn't signed as US 50A when there was a rock slide somewhere up on US 50 near Echo Summit a couple years back?  I've always wanted to see one of those sign assemblies...sure ain't there anymore.

Tough call on what to pick for US 50, but I decided on this one.  Washington, DC. May 27, 2000.

Close to home for New York 50 in Ballston Spa.  April 15, 2001.

To Holly Ridge for North Carolina 50.  November 11, 2010.
