Heh, my dad got the original game during the late 1980s.  My friends and I thought the game was hilarious given you die in absurd ways like getting an STD from a prostitute.

I had them too.  Even had the game that was the inspiration for the first Larry game, called "Soft Porn Adventure" for the Apple ][ in the early 80's.  The exact same plot as the later Larry, but a text-based adventure rather than a graphics based one.
