Surprisingly, after all these years, I had never been to Tuscaloosa, Alabama until a couple of days ago, but the trip was great and I got lots of good photos I wanted to share, at least for the fun of it.  :sombrero:

This trip also allowed me to clinch I-359 for the first time, for which I unfortunately don't have good photos, but I did get the whole thing on video going Southbound (which I hope to eventually post to my YouTube channel). When heading down on the trip, we were driving at dusk or night for most of the time, so I unfortunately didn't get many good photos on the way down, save for some good pictures with the sunset. Therefore, most of the pictures posted in this thread will be from the drive back, mostly done in late afternoon, with the sun setting and getting dark later on the trip closer to home.

As per other threads I have created in the past with a couple dozen or more pictures, I will organize this (long) OP into separate posts with a maximum of 10 photos per post, abiding by the forum guidelines. The photos will begin in the subsequent post, being posted through Tapatalk:

Here is a series of photos showing I-20/I-59 eastbound in Birmingham approaching the interchange where I-20 departs to the east (hence ending the concurrency):

A collection of photos from both the very end and the very beginning of the trip:

The first two photos are both along I-59 Northbound after crossing into Georgia (I didn't get any really good pictures after that as it got dark and we arrived home shortly after):

The next few photos are towards the very beginning of the trip after departing from home; all of these are along I-24 Westbound in the Chattanooga, Tennessee area, including some of the recent (re)construction on and near the I-24/I-75 interchange:

This last picture is on I-59 South in Georgia, after entering the Peach State and departing from I-24:

This series of pictures shows the progression of sunset to night while going southwest all the way down I-59 in northeast Alabama (up to near the I-65 interchange); this includes a brief section of interstate that is currently (temporarily) configured with both bounds on one side due to construction, a little north of Gadsden; it also includes downtown Birmingham (and overpasses) lighted up at night:

This is the last batch of photos (ended up being a whole lot more photos posted than I anticipated, but I thought this gave a comprehensive and appealing look at the roads along the trip): This series of photos covers I-20/I-59 heading northeast into the Birmingham Metro Area, eventually reaching where it approaches the interchange with I-65 (back at where the thread's photos started), as well as a bonus picture:

This is the bonus picture.  :-D  :-D

This is my first chance at snapping a photo of the roadgeek-esque shot of me standing next to a route sign(s) at work in the wild, so here it is:
