Drove SB a few days ago, McDaniel Rd. North exit still closed. The whole thing is super smooth, really happy with the way it turned out. Fun fact, I actually did a bit of surveying on this project back in the summer of 2015, mostly on the Moyer Dr bridge and the I-70 exit ramps.

5/27 edit: Clinched it!  :D

The Tribune Star in Terre Haute reports today that McDaniel Road possibly could reopen this fall:

QuoteDebbie Calder, INDOT spokeswoman, said Tuesday that INDOT and Walsh Construction "have invested time trying to engineer the salvage of the remaining MSE wall. Due to concerns with the longevity of such a salvaged wall system it has been decided to completely remove and reconstruct the wall,"  she said.

"The scope of work will include removing the bridge approach and then both the existing MSE wall and embankment. The existing bridge is a single span with the end bent at the MSE wall supported by piling. The piling will be braced as the excavation proceeds thereby stabilizing the existing bridge,"  Calder said.

The Speed Limit on the bypass has been raised from 55 to 65 effective today. 65 is definitely the appropriate speed limit. 55 was painfully slow.

Love that particular report, as is preserved a lot of historical information that otherwise may have been lost by now. Or at least very difficult to find.
