"That sounded stupid, didn't it?"
—Kolzig, to the same reporter a few seconds later.

I'm currently under a Winter Storm Warning AND Snow Squall Warning in Missoula. It's getting to be a major storm, and the first one of 2022 in Missoula. It's nearly a blizzard looking outside my bedroom window. 20 degrees with heavy snow and near zero visibility.
Finally upgraded to Expressway after, what, seven or so years on this forum? Took a dadgum while, but, I made it!

ET21

Bitter cold the next couple of days. Wind chills tonight will approach -20 degrees F
The local weatherman, trust me I can be 99.9% right!

Bruce

In the lowlands, the rain is helping break up what remains of our snow. Expecting temps in the 40s and even 50s over the next week.

Mountains are a different story: 2 feet of snow, high avalanche risk, all passes closed. The only way to drive across Washington is to take SR 14.

MATraveler128

It is snowing here in Greater Boston. The first accumulating snow of the season. We are supposed to get up to 8 inches by the time all is set and done.
Decommission 128 south of Peabody!

Lowest untraveled number: 56

JayhawkCO

High of 55 today.  Should melt the snow we got on Wednesday.

Hold my drink and read this
here we go again, for the second day in a row! by Bryce Monaghan, on Flickr

When you do text as an image, it means anyone who needs machine-readable text cannot understand the message. That would include blind people who use screenreaders, and people who use text-only browsers like Lynx, not that I know for sure that we have either of those on this forum for the time being. But in the past we did have a member who was posting from a Navy ship out at sea, who I think could only get the site to load five posts at a time, and if there were any images that were too large they wouldn't load at all.

I'm guilty of it too, since I usually exclusively post screen grabs of the WeatherStar 4000 emulator to this thread. But I figured I'd mention something since you've expressed an interest in Web design in the past, and accessibility is extremely important for Web design. (Text as images also can't be indexed by search engines, meaning it has SEO implications as well.)

Here's what it looks like in Lynx (and thus someone with a screenreader would get something similar read out loud to them):
