Anyone ever get lucky enough to see a truck transporting a load of BGS to their permanent home on a highway somewhere? Well this week, I had the chance this week heading up to Milwaukee to see this one for myself.

As you can imagine, it was difficult to get good photos. Anyone want to take a guess as to where they're headed? I already know, but I'll let you guys figure out for yourselves!

And while we're on the subject, does anyone else have any photos of BGS, or really any signs, being transported?

I know too, so I won't answer.

Saw some earlier this month, on eastbound I-64 in Shelby County. The truck had a just-removed sign for Exit 35 (KY 53/Shelbyville) and a new sign for Exit 48 (KY 151/Graefenburg-Lawrenceburg). The truck passed us as we exited at KY 151, so it must have been bearing a sign meant for the eastbound side of I-64. There is a construction project ongoing there to replace/widen the bridges carrying the interstate over the crossroad.

Government would be tolerable if not for politicians and bureaucrats.

I saw a video once of some car (probably a Tesla) that kept freaking out issuing alerts on the dashboard because the computer was detecting cones in the lane ahead. Of course, the driver wasn't concerned because the cones were stacked up in the back of a truck...

Seen several times, never had the occasion to grab photos.  This wasn't totally uncommon in Caltrans District 6 a couple years ago when they were grabbing up SB1 funds for signage replacements.

But, but, one says ILLINOIS in it, and people only think of pure majesty and awe when they hear Illinois!

True story bro, I read it on Wallethub.  I hear the Millennials can't get of the ski area at Illinois Pass.

That's funny, I used to take trips up to Kohler-Andrae State Beach all the time as a kid, because my folks thought it was one of the best dog-friendly beaches within a few hours' drive.  We even stayed at a hotel off Wis-42 and I-43 in Sheboygan to prolong the fun.

Shenanigans, I was expecting a Wallethub citation.  This flat post sucks, I'm going to go smash my car horn!

Relax everyone. He's obviously referring to the fact that the shield uses Series C numerals instead of the usual Series D. Nothing to worry about.

I'm always amazed at how much bigger they look when not installed. It's like they shrink once put into place.

They look huge when you stand right by one that's been installed, too.  Ever walked right up to ground-mounted BGS to take its picture?  Massive!

I didn't see it myself, but there's a sign for the new CSVT project in PA visible in Street View.
