Title: Pop a Lock Fail
Post by: US71 on April 14, 2021, 07:42:50 PM
I found out today that Pop a Lock can also replace flat tires...or so they claim.

I had a flat at the grocery store, but was unable to loosen the lug nuts so I called my insurance company's 24 Hour Road Service. I was expecting a service truck, but what I got was Pop a Lock. He started to loosen the nuts, then suddenly stopped claiming the nuts were stripped and he couldn't go on. He then got in his car and left. I have filed a complaint, but I don't expect to hear back.

My mechanic was about 10 minutes away so I called him (he doesn't have road service).  He sent his best guy out who changed the tire and escorted me to the garage to fix the flat tire. He told me the lug nuts were NOT stripped, so I'm guessing Pop a Lock really wasn't interested in helping.

Needless to say, I will avoid Pop a Lock every chance I get.
