I returned from my largest East Coast trip since 2017 this past Monday (753 miles).  That being the case I've been busy compiling my photo media so it could be stored properly.  My trip spanned from Virginia east to New Jersey and included major items such as:

-  I-95/Delaware Turnpike
-  I-895/Baltimore Harbor Tunnel
-  Baltimore-Washington Parkway
-  Interstate 395/future Interstate 195 on Center Leg Freeway in Washington D.C.
-  Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park
-  US Route 211
-  I-95/Fort McHenry Tunnel
-  I-495 in Delaware
-  The 2022 Philadelphia, PA National Road Meet (which is a lot of items on the tour and off when I got turned around)
-  US Route endpoints at Penn Square
-  New Jersey Route 72
-  Long Beach Island Boulevard

The trip photos can be found in raw from the six days I was traveling:

I did start working the materials up into blogs on Gribblenation starting with the Commodore Barry Bridge:

I see you snuck in a clinch of the very short VA 79.  ;-)

NJ 72 is coming up quick on my NJ clinch list.  Figuring out how to best do it with trying to close in US 9 has been sort of difficult.

Pertaining to the super short VA 79 and highways like it...

Regarding NJ 72 I have cousins who live off the highway in Barnegat.  I recall frequently being the passenger on trips to New Jersey during the early 1990s.  I thought about going a different way but the nostalgia angle one over.  It worked out too, lined me up with a sundown approach to the Benjamin Franklin Bridge coming back to Philadelphia.

If your coming from PA, probably just easiest to take NJ 70 to 72, drive 72 straight into LBI, then return back to 9 unless there's another road nearby you need to hit. There's no other way off the island anyway so you'll be passing 9 no matter what.

Nice to see photos from my neck of the woods (the Maryland House)
From the land of red, white, yellow and black.

That monument to the workers with I-95 shields was particularly nice, I expect to post it on Gribblenation soon.

Below is a Roadcast I just finished regarding the 2022 East Coast Trip:

I did clinch NJ 72 on November 12th and was glad to see that the speed limit stayed 55 practically all the way to Long Beach Island itself.

I have family in the area, and it was the first time I've been back since the new span over Manahawkin Bay was constructed.  Suffice to say it was a very much different experience getting onto Long Beach Island now as opposed to how it was when all the traffic was on the 1959 span.
