November and October lettings posts have been updated with the approved bids announced on December 4th.

Although an approved bid on the Lawrence Depot project was not announced, I do know that there were bids. I would anticipate that The approved bid for that project will be part of January's bid announcements.

UPDATE!: The approved bid for the Santa Fe station required the City of Lawrence to concur, which they did at the December 5th meeting. The Journal-World announced the approved bid. The approved bid for the station has been added to the November lettings.
Peace to you, and... don't drive like my brother.

Heard anything about a bridge replacement on US-400 at US-75 (near Neodesha), due to a truck hitting the structure?  My friend said his firm is working on the design for that, and they're excited because they're the ones who designed the current bridge as well.

As of right now, you can't get off U.S. 400 at Neodesha. The signed detour is K-47 from Fredonia east to U.S. 75 at Altoona, then back down U.S. 75 to Neodesha. I passed by there on my back home after the holidays but it was night so I couldn't see anything very well from the far right lane (I was going south). Whatever was being worked on was on the opposite (east) side of the highway.

There's also a road about one mile north of the interchange that's signed as "Fredonia via county road" so if you're alert you can just turn there and you'll come into Fredonia north of the high school (Granby Ave. locally). Then you turn down 8th St. and go to the only traffic light to get back to 75.

Strange. The traffic light there right now doesn't really cause any issues. U.S. 160 there really doesn't have the kind of traffic that creates any problems.

Never mind. I can't read.

Isn't this the north junction of US-169 and US-160?  I just drove through that junction last year and don't even remember a stoplight being there, just stop signs.  GSV from this past spring confirms.

If there's a traffic light there, it's a temporary rig. The plans and GSV show that the intersection has stop signs on US 160, including in the medians (where one would normally see yield signs)
