The new toll bridge on A-25 between Montreal and Laval is nearing completion and is expected to open in May, 2011. A friend and I went roadgeeking in the area (as well as location scouting for an upcoming Monteal meet), and I brought back some pictures.

I apologize for the average picture quality, it was getting a bit dark as we were coming back from Saint-Donat.

EDIT: Also, this (French) document shows what the new toll signs will look like, pages 14 and 15. Unfortunately, they won't be blue.

If the page appears in French, click the "English" link at the top of the page, on the dark gray bar.

Bit off-topic for this thread, I know, but I quite like the hill descent sign.

I note the material on Page 11 of the first linked document stating that the use of Clearview is now compulsory.

Yes, for positive-contrast on BGSes.

I went to the public inaugural event on the bridge on May 14. Despite the heavy rain. Pictures:

Warning to 1995hoo and others: Lots of Clearview indeed.

By the way, the bridge opens on May 20.

I don't mind the Clearview. My comment was more because others hate it so. I find it easier to read at a distance, although I think there should be some more space between lines of text since the typeface appears to be larger.
